Residents of the Carter Barron East Neighborhood have joined together in opposition to the proposed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mammoth structure for 4901 16th Street, N.W. which is too big and too much for the community and its residents.
At 33,000 square feet, the building with a steeple protruding 10 stories into the sky is far larger and taller than any other in the community. Our community is not equipped to handle the demands of this building and the disruptions it will bring.
